Living Green: Georgia's Eco-Future

ATLANTA – September 9, 2010 – Channel 2 takes an in-depth look at Georgia’s environmental outlook. The half-hour special will focus on what Georgia has done to protect the environment and what we need to do to keep Georgia “living green”.

Channel 2’s Heather Catlin, host of “Hot Topics”, reports on environmental issues that Georgia faces including the quality and conservation of water, and the mysterious disappearance of bees and the major impact this could have on the food chain.

The special also reveals how far Georgia has come in our commitment to the environment and it breaks down how Georgia stacks up against other states when it comes to recycling, air quality, water quality, and local green business.

And, the special shows some of the next big, green ideas including one local company that has developed technology making plastic bottles biodegradable while another local company has taken on recycling styrofoam, one of the most harmful products to the environment.
